50s and 60s themed Cupcake Day at Woodstock Residential Care Home

On Friday 14 June our residents and their families at Woodstock Residential Care Home celebrated the Alzheimers Society’s Cupcake Day.

We held a 50s and 60s disco, complete with our popular karaoke machine!

Snacks, white wine spritzers, shandies, as well as teas and coffees were on offer – and of course an abundance of delicious cupcakes to savour! These were kindly made and donated by residents, staff and family members.

Our residents really enjoyed singing and dancing, and loved that some of our staff got dressed up in vintage clothes to bring the era to life. We even had our own set of Pink Ladies!

We are delighted to have raised £94.80 for the Alzheimer’s Society from the sing-along karaoke and also from the forget-me-not knitted flowers which we sold in our Reception area. Everyone work very hard to make the day a great success and this is the best total we have raised for Alzheimer’s.

Huge well done and thanks to everyone involved in making the event so much fun in support of such a good cause.
