Over the past couple of weeks we have been spending time with our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home talking about where they have travelled in the world and their favourite destinations.
We have set up a map and pin pointed all the countries that our ladies and gents have visited, listing all their favourite places and where they grew up.
We had some interesting ones; Pam has been to Yugoslavia, Val enjoyed Egypt, Florence has been to Hong Kong and Iris named Australia and Tunisia as two of the places she’s visited. Our Lena grew up in Malta and Michele grew up in France. Maggie lived in new York for two years, whilst Helen lived in Cyprus for four years – so we’re a well-travelled family!
We all really enjoyed this activity and it got everyone talking and discussing different places they had visited; this gave our staff team a wonderful insight into what our ladies and gents have done in their lives.
