Toasting Wimbledon
On Tuesday 2 July at Woodstock Residential Care Home, we kicked off our celebrations in the afternoon for the beginning week of Wimbledon.
We were ready to go, as we had spent the morning preparing the juicy strawberries with the help of Barbara and Lil.
Our ladies and gents watched the matches, and we spoke about our best sporting skills. We enjoyed strawberries with cream, and a glass of Prosecco, Wimbledon style. Cheers everyone!
Testing our tennis skills…
We also decided to test out our tennis skills this week in honour of Wimbledon by playing games of table tennis, which made us competitive and work up a sweat!
After our games we all relaxed and had a cup of tea and biscuits whilst watching some matches, before competing in a huge game of balloon tennis using tennis rackets. Everyone had a giggle at each other trying to impersonate the tennis players on the television!
An afternoon of exercise and lots of fun!
