On Tuesday 23 February our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home came together to craft some paper daffodils, ready to brighten our Home for St David’s Day on Monday 1 March.
Some residents began by using a daffodil template and scrunching up yellow tissue paper to glue to it.
Others painted egg boxes orange on one side and yellow on the other to create the middles of the flower. Once the egg boxes are dry enough, we will cut around each part carefully and then add this part as the finishing touch.
Our ladies and gents worked wonderfully together to bring these flowers to life and everyone enjoyed having a giggle and a chat while sticking or painting.
We will be decorating our Home with these brightly coloured flowers at the start of March to welcome in the warmer days. Spring is on its way!
