On Friday 5 July we held a cream tea party for our residents here at Woodstock Residential Care Home to celebrate the start of Wimbledon and to showcase the strawberries we’ve been growing.
We decked our lounge with Wimbledon themed decorations and our cook made some lovely homemade scones, which we served with our strawberries and clotted cream. Perfection!
We were also treated to a performance by singer Keely, who sang a medley of our favourite tunes.
Continuing the ‘delicious’ theme, we celebrated National Chocolate Day on Sunday 7 July and enjoyed more of our fresh strawberries – dipped in our chocolate fountain. Our residents loved dipping and eating them. A perfect combination of indulgence and one of our five a day!
