Around the world and off to India

Our residents here at Woodstock Residential Care Home are off to India next week on the second leg of our virtual “Around the World with Nellsar Cruises”. Having set sail aboard ‘HMS Woodstock’ to Hong King for Chinese New Year in February, we are looking forward to celebrating all things Indian as we reach our next destination on Wednesday 10 March.

Over the past couple of days our residents have been making Diwali clay pots. We shaped the pots out of clay, let them dry and then we painted them in bright colours. They look wonderful with twinkling tea lights in them and they light up the Home beautifully.

Senior Recreation and Well-Being Lead Marina said, “We are going to give them out to the family as souvenirs once we get back from our trip!”
