Yesterday at at Woodstock Residential Care Home, our residents enjoyed a day filled with a variety of fun activities.
In the morning we played a target game that got everyone involved with a bit of friendly competition. We had four hoops to throw bean bags into with each one having different points to claim. Everyone joined in while encouraging others – eager to have a go themselves!
In the afternoon we got creative and started painting cardboard boxes to make our own aquarium scenes. Residents loved joining in – painting the boxes blue, colouring in fish and coral and cutting out images to put in the scene. We all had great fun and listened to our favourite music while we worked.
Once the paint is dry we will add the fish that we coloured and cut out, hanging them from the top with string as if they are swimming in the aquarium.
We look forward to finishing our wonderful creations!
