Our residents have been enjoying themselves with karaoke and giant floor games here at Woodstock Residential Care Home.
Our ladies, gents and staff team had great fun performing karaoke at the weekend. Everyone loved singing and bopping along to their favourite songs, with our karaoke microphones.
Our giant snakes and ladders board has prove popular too. Some of our residents played one-to-one and others played in teams of up to three per side.
Games lasted anywhere from five to 25 minutes, depending on how lucky or unlucky the residents were when rolling the dice!
Some of our ladies and gents got competitive and were very happy when they hit a ladder, egging each other on! There was laughter all round and a fantastic atmosphere.
And we’ve also got to play our Fishing Game for the first time; we have a real fishing rod and line with a magnet attached to the end, and we attached magnets to the fish we coloured in recently.
All the fish were marked with a number and the one to catch the most fish and get the highest score won a bag of sweets – sounds easy, but it was a good challenge!
