On Wednesday 16 June our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home enjoyed the sun in our garden and a game of ‘cocktail ping pong’ – throwing balls into cups to win tasty drinks prizes.
We had different ball colours for the different flavoured drinks that were on offer;
Yellow for pineapple
Green for apple
Orange for orange
We had great fun and a bit of competition with everyone, and we all loved cooling off with our refreshing fruit cocktails, made with a splash of lemonade and crushed ice.
We had ice lollies, ice creams and jellies at hand too, as we all needed to keep hydrated on such a hot summer’s day!
And some of our residents even dipped their feet in the paddling pools we had set up. Bliss!
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, talking to friends and playing games.
