On Saturday 29 October our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home got together for a Kitchen Club session and made some tasty Halloween treats for everyone to try – our very own Halloween version of sausage rolls, using hot dogs and puff pastry.
We started by carefully cutting long strips of the rolled pastry. Then we wrapped each strip of pastry around hot dog sausages and placed them on baking trays. We then delicately applied an egg wash and popped them in the oven. They smelt lovely as they were cooking and looked so appetising to the eye.
We made enough for everyone at Woodstock to try with a cup of tea and they were delicious!
Our mummified hot dog sausages were so fun to make as we had lots of laughs and giggles in the process. Well done to our star bakers at Woodstock!
