Jubilee arts and crafts
On Sunday 29 May we got creative at Woodstock Residential Care Home and began to make our own bunting for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
We each decorated some Jubilee themed templates with colouring pencils; lots of bright colours, with red, white and blue of course!
We’ve been colouring in our bunting over the course of the week and on Sunday afternoon we all sat down together for a lovely, therapeutic session to finish it all off. We listened to some music and enjoyed a laugh while singing along.
We carefully cut out each template and punched holes in each corner and brought them all together with blue ribbon. We hung our bunting in the entrance of our Home and we are all looking forward to celebrating the Jubilee this week.
Balloon darts
We had a brilliant time playing a balloon darts game recently – the aim of the game was to pop a red balloon to win a prize, with our residents having a choice of sweets to pick from.
This was such a great way to exercise everybody’s arms while having fun (and sweets!) at the same time.
