It was ‘all hands on deck’ last week when we had a lovely afternoon dressed as pirates to entertain our ladies and gents at Woodstock Residential Care Home!
They loved it and thought that our team members’ costumes were excellent and very funny. We took some lovely pictures of our residents as we visited them in our fancy dress. One of our residents even had a go at trying to chop off one of our Activities Team member’s arms with their sword!
We enjoyed talking to everyone using only pirate phrases and voices – “Shiver mi timbers!” – and enjoyed sitting together looking through the pirate dictionary, discussing all the different phrases that pirates used on their ships.
