Our Woodstock Residential Care Home residents got competitive with a table tennis tournament recently, with staff vs residents!
We decided to hold the tournament after getting together with our residents and asking what they would like to see for their next activities. We always like to include our residents in what the want to do and see in the weekly timetable.
Everyone enjoyed taking part in table tennis games and cheering each other on to rank up the points!
We had the theme song of ‘Rocky’ playing to get us all in the competitive spirit and all came up with our own nicknames for the game; our residents chose to be ‘The table tennis terrors’ and our staff were ‘The ping pong peculiars’!
We had some talented table tennis players amongst our residents and Activities staff gave it their best shot to win, but with the encouragement of each other, our residents blew us away and won the tournament. Well done to all our fantastic players!
