On Friday 6 May we celebrated VE Day at Woodstock Residential Care Home by hosting a 40s party with singer Debbie Haze in the lovely sunshine.
Our staff dressed up in wartime costume and with help from our residents we decorated our lovely garden with lots of red, white and blue flags, balloons and bunting – it looked brilliant!
The lovely weather was on our side and we all enjoyed singing along and dancing to our favourite wartime classics.
We were surprised by everyone’s amazing dance moves as we did the ‘hand jive‘ and boogied along to some lively party mixes!
Everyone had so much fun and we are all really looking forward to celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee next month!
