On Sunday 19 March we all celebrated Mother’s Day at Woodstock Residential Care Home, with a gorgeous afternoon tea, accompanied by some of our family members which made it extra special.
We enjoyed scones with clotted cream and jam, homemade cupcakes made by our Cook and cups of tea and glasses of bubbly on arrival.
Singer Peter Kneebone came to celebrate with us, performing all of our favourite songs – perfect for singing along and dancing to, particularly ‘Sweet Caroline’ when everyone was singing at the top of their voices and holding hands.
We enjoyed chatting with our loved ones and made special memories on the day, with so many smiling faces and lots of laughter.
Our mums at Woodstock received lots of presents, flowers, cards and treats over the weekend and were made to feel very special.
There was lots of reminiscing about Mother’s Day traditions, looking through old photos and sharing memories.
What a heart warming weekend. We can’t wait until our next celebrations!
