Woodstock Residential Care Home hosts 1940s party for Remembrance Day

Our residents enjoyed welcoming singer Keeley to Woodstock Residential Care Home for a 1940s sing along, inspired by Remembrance Day.

We enjoyed singing and dancing along to the music, with plenty of upbeat songs to get everyone up for a dance. Toots and Rosa showed off their best moves and singer Keeley was very impressed. There were lots of smiling faces all around!

Our ladies and gents love it when our staff dress up and ‘look the part’ – they were not disappointed, as our team dressed up in 40s wartime clothes and looked fantastic!

This 40s sing along was a way to remember and celebrate those who fought in the war, along with our afternoon tea and poppy arts and crafts.

Many of these songs brought back some lovely memories for our residents and they were happy to share after the party with a lovely cup of tea.
