On Friday 2 September our residents from Woodstock Residential Care Home got together with residents at Hengist Field Care Home for a joint BBQ.
This event joined both Nellsar Homes to recreate the ‘Woodstock Festival 1969’ – with the themes of hippies, peace and love!
Both Homes’ residents, Activity staff, Maintenance and Catering teams joined together to create a fun-filled party with delicious BBQ food, a ‘Groovy bar‘, festival huts and festival games.
Families and friends came with us to celebrate the festival together and enjoyed a dance with singer and musician Rob T.
To prepare for this event our residents at Woodstock tie-dyed some t-shirts ready to wear. They enjoyed being creative and splashing the paint into patterns and seeing all the bright colours. Everyone had fun wearing them and looking groovy at the party.
A great day, with a wonderful atmosphere!
