On Tuesday 15 December we held our very own Christmas market here at Woodstock Residential Care Home.
Our residents were greeted at the door and presented with a strip of raffle tickets for a chance to win on our Christmas Tombola. Everyone also received two tokens to spend on our festive food and drink stalls.
Our Tombola was stocked with wonderful prizes and everyone walked away with something to open. All of the prizes were kindly donated by our Woodstock families; we were so delighted with the amount of donations we received and are so grateful for every single one!
Our residents collected their Tombola prizes at the first stall, then made their way to the food stalls where we had beautiful cakes on offer, made by our Cook. Mince pies, stollen cakes, sweets and gateau cakes – an absolute delight!
Our ladies and gents were able to spend their drinks tokens on a choice of warming refreshments – tea, coffee, hot chocolate with squirty cream, or a mulled wine.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the market, having a sing-a-long with friends to Christmas songs and having a chat over a scrumptious piece of cake.
