On Thursday 8 July we celebrated World Chocolate Day and our residents enjoyed the delicious treats we had on offer at Woodstock Residential Care Home.
Our ladies and gents had a busy afternoon making chocolate rice krispie cakes, which were gorgeous!
First of all we broke up the chocolate into small chunks, then microwaved the chocolate to melt it. We then added the melted chocolate into bowls with rice krispies and mixed it all together. We carefully placed the mixture into cases and waited for them to set. We all enjoyed having them later on with a lovely cup of tea!
We also had a chocolate fountain with a selection of fruit and goodies to dip in.
