Woodstock Residential Care Home took part in RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch over the weekend. We all gathered at our windows to look outside and see what birds we could spot.
We had posters up on our walls of common garden birds so that we were able to identify what we had seen and what to keep and eye out for. We then sat together and coloured in pictures of birds after we had inspiration from some of those that we had seen in the garden.
Some of our residents are avid bird watchers and were able to tell us what the birds were without having to look them up. Many of our residents also have bird feeders outside their windows so they can watch the birds.
We all enjoyed taking part in Big Garden Bird Watch and look forward to seeing what different birds will appear in our garden throughout the upcoming seasons.
