Congratulations to Lena
Over the past week, residents here at Woodstock Residential Care Home have been taking part in playing many different games – competing in the Woodstock Commonwealth Games!
Our residents have enjoyed cycling, bowling, archery, target games, ring toss and darts. At the end of the week we counted up their scores and held a presentation for the winner. Lena is our winner!
ABC Quiz
Woodstock’s residents played a fun game where they had to think of as many boys and girls names as possible – from A-Z.
It was all going great until we got to U and had to think ‘out of the box’. We had lots of laughs at made up names like ‘underpants’ and had to applaud their creativeness.
We split the alphabet between the lounges and swapped back to see if we could beat the other lounge and think of any names that they had missed. We displayed our posters with names all around our dining room for residents to enjoy looking at whilst they eat and chat.
This was a great activity to stimulate our minds and get everyone working together as a team
