Leading up to Father’s Day our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home got together for two arts and crafts sessions to make decorations for our Father’s Day event we hosted at the beginning of this week.
Our residents made tissue paper hearts, using scrunched up balls of blue tissue paper and glue to give them a 3D effect. We also enjoyed colouring in banners and posters. We had great fun in these activity sessions getting messy and creative, having a tea and chat while sharing memories of our dads.
All of our creations were displayed around our Home with pride as we got ready for our celebrations.
On Father’s Day itself we had a celebratory drink with friends and family at Woodstock as we had a special Father’s Day beer trolley. There was lots of beer to choose from and there were lots of happy faces when this was wheeled around the corner!
Everyone enjoyed a singalong to old pub music and chatted about our local pubs, raising a glass for all the dads on Father’s Day. Cheers!
