Our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home have been excited to support the England Ladies Team in their journey in the World Cup competition and have been enjoying watching the matches on TV.
Everyone has embraced the sport and joined in with some fun football trials with a penalty shoot outs; they’ve enjoyed shooting the ball into the net and cheering others on!
We’ve also enjoyed listening to football chants and chatting about the 1966 world cup final when the men brought home the trophy! We have lots of faith in the women, bring it home!
This has been a great way to get in some gentle exercise and was a good way to chat about football and sport. We all are rooting for the England team and we hope their penalties aren’t as nail biting as ours! Come on England!
