We celebrated the opening of Chelsea Flower Show here at Woodstock Residential Care Home on Tuesday 24 May, by getting creative and painting flowers.
We used bottles as stamps to create patterns resembling petals, and paintbrushes to add some colour and detail. We used lots of bright colours to bring our flowers to life and they looked beautiful!
We positioned flowers in front of us for reference, and one of our residents painted free hand – really getting into the activity and bringing the details to life.
Everyone was very relaxed and this was such a therapeutic activity; we listened to some of our favourite music and chatted with each other, complimenting each other’s paintings.
We loved our finished paintings!
