On Sunday 20 August everyone here at Woodstock Residential Care Home was excited to cheer on the ladies England football team in the World Cup Final!
Our residents were very proud of the ladies for getting into the final and were very supportive while watching.
Anne was Woodstock’s dedicated mascot and she was happy to get everyone clapping and chanting ‘ENGLAND’ with a big smile on her face! There were lots of laughs and our ladies and gents were very proud to support their country in this big event.
We were gutted when Spain scored but still didn’t give up supporting and believing. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as Mary Earps saved the Spanish penalty and the crowd went wild!
Unfortunately it was not England’s year and Spain eventually took the victory. We all clapped Spain in their achievements, and we were still all incredibly proud of the England team. Well done ladies!
