On Friday 8 April our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home made some delicious Easter nest cakes to share and get everyone in the mood for Easter.
We first broke up chocolate into pieces and melted it in the microwave to make the chocolate smooth. We then got our cupcake cases ready, assembling them onto trays ready for our mixture to be poured into.
Next we carefully mixed in cornflakes, carefully coating them in the yummy chocolate, and then scooped the mixture into the cake cases, making them all nice and even.
We topped our cakes with mini eggs and marshmallows and they looked so delicious. Some of us couldn’t resist and enjoyed having a taste of the last bit of the mixture – it was gorgeous!!
Our yummy creations went into the fridge to set and we enjoyed them later on with a lovely cup of tea.
This was such a lovely activity as we all had a giggle making them and chatting with friends.
