Fun in the garden
On Tuesday 12 July, our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home had a relaxing time in the garden, enjoying the lovely weather.
Everyone relaxed and dipped their feet in a small paddling pool to cool off and enjoyed listening to some favourite summer songs. We shut our eyes and imagined we were at the beach with a drink in our hands!
Our ladies and gents enjoyed chatting about holiday memories and favourite places to visit, and had a good natter and a giggle.
Everybody also joined in with a bubble sensory activity and enjoyed bursting the bubbles before they got to the ground.
Smoothie making and tasting
Some of our residents also enjoyed helping with making some delicious nutritional smoothies for everyone.
We got together to prepare the fruit, carefully cutting it into chunks to ensure it was small enough to be blended easily.
We added different fruits in with ice-cream, cream, milk and fruit juice to create our taste sensations!
Our different drink flavours including pineapple and banana, strawberry and blueberry and strawberry and banana. They were all loved by everyone around our Home and were very refreshing in the sunshine. Yummy!
