On Monday 30 October our residents had a fun-filled day at Woodstock Residential Care Home with Halloween face painting and party games.
Our ladies and gents joined in with lots of different party games wearing some lovely Halloween party hats; our games including pass the parcel, witches hat hoopla and balloon tennis.
During witches hat hoopla, we split into orange and green team to compete against each other. Residents cheered on their team members and it ended in a draw!
Our pass the parcel was great fun and everyone took turns passing the package around to each other. When the music stopped, our residents really enjoyed tearing off a layer of wrapping paper to retrieve a special Halloween treat. Our winner of pass the parcel won a luxurious dressing gown and was absolutely over the moon. Everybody clapped and cheered and was very happy for their friend winning this lovely prize.
Of course we couldn’t resist a sing and a dance along to music and we warmed up with a ‘Monster Mash‘ seated exercise session to get our arms and legs ready for the party. To get in the spirit of Halloween we enjoyed having spiders, cobwebs, cat whiskers, devil horns and ghosts painted on our faces.
Everyone was laughing and joking around, chatting about when their children were younger and their fun with face paints.
A brilliantly spooky day, full of fun!
