An unforgettable birthday
Our resident Maud here at Woodstock Residential Care Home celebrated her 90th birthday on Monday 1 March, and what a momentous occasion it was!
We arranged a wonderful window visit where all her family came and see her. Despite still being in lockdown, Woodstock staff and Maud’s family ensured it was an extra special day. Maud was able to see her family from the window, while remaining safe indoors.
All her family came to see Maud, bringing lovely cards, cake, flowers with them, and lots, lots more. Maud celebrated with two cakes on her big day – one made by our cook Lynn and one the family had made – she was truly spoiled by everyone!
Celebrating our residents’ birthdays may be a little bit different at the moment but we are not letting it get us down. We’ve been finding new ways to communicate with our families and working really hard to keep everyone in touch with their loved ones.
