On Wednesday 28 July, residents here at Woodstock Residential Care Home expressed their creative sides by painting and decorating birdhouses.
Using multicoloured paints, we painted a variety of bird feeders and houses to put in our garden. We want to encourage more birds into the garden and thought it would be a good idea to design them ourselves. This was a lovely, calming session as we chatted about painting and using different techniques.
A few of our residents wanted to show off their artistic flare to the group and chose to paint birds using watercolour paints. This was a lovely way to get to know each other and was a great way to improve concentration and boost our creative minds.
We can’t wait to get them out in the garden and fill them up with seeds for the birds to have a feast on!
