Last week at Woodstock Residential Care Home we enjoyed a variety of activities in preparation for our Reggae BBQ.
Our residents helped out making decorations to be displayed around our Home, by colouring in flags and peace signs.
Everyone liked lending a hand to make our Home look colourful and vibrant for our themed day and we learned more about the culture while doing word searches and crosswords to keep us thinking.
On the day of the BBQ, we loved getting dressed up for a reggae themed photoshoot with our loved ones and everyone gave their biggest smiles and we all put on our best poses!
We tucked into different reggae style foods including a popular favourite jerk chicken – huge thanks to everyone in our kitchen for preparing such yummy BBQ treats. We got our taste buds tingling trying different tropical cocktails and a fruit punch too, to make us feel like we were on holiday.
Woodstock residents love a dance and sing along of course – so there was no doubt we would be up on the dance floor grooving around to reggae music with singer Pete George!
Our ladies and gents were joined by family and friends for the event and we enjoyed sharing the day with them, making new memories.
