Over the Remembrance weekend our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home took part in an arts and crafts session creating some wonderful decorations.
We scrunched up red, black and green tissue paper to create poppies and also coloured in signs saying ‘Lest we Forget’.
During the session, our ladies and gents were asked if they knew of any family members who had fought in any of the wars, or if they had fought in the war themselves; we are lucky enough to have a few veterans at Woodstock who were happy to tell us some stories and reflect on their time in the army.
Our creations were displayed in our lounge where we held our two-minute silence to remember and thank all the brave soldiers who lost their lives for us.
