Woodstock Residential Care Home residents enjoy harvest festival assembly

On Monday 16 October some of our residents from Woodstock Residential Care Home were invited to The Oaks Infant School to be part of their harvest festival assembly.

Mrs Wynn explained during the assembly the meaning of the harvest festival and was very proud to have the pupils sing their harvest festival song ‘Cauliflower’s fluffy’ to us with big smiles and beautiful singing voices.

The children were so well behaved and made us feel very welcome – we love forging these lovely relationships with our local community.

Our residents were very impressed with the children’s donations to the Swale Foodbank and reminisced about harvest festivals when they were younger.

We would like to say a big thank you for inviting us to be a part of the school’s assembly and are very much looking forward to seeing the children again at Christmas when we will watch their Christmas play and invite them to our Home for carol singing.
