This Easter we have had the pleasure of welcoming ducklings to Woodstock Residential Care Home.
The ducklings arrived with us as eggs in an incubator, and left us as growing ducklings. We all took turns filling up their food, cleaning out their cage and topping up their water frequently.
We had a vote for the best duck names and the winning ones were – James Pond, Quack Sparrow, Daffy and Donald!
The ducklings received many cuddles over the past week and enjoyed their first swim, with lots of splashing around, once they were strong enough. We have loved having our fluffy friends staying with us and getting us in the Easter spirit.
We look forward to hatching more eggs this time next year!
