On Monday 6 June our residents and staff at Woodstock Residential Care Home celebrated the D-Day anniversary and continued on our celebrations from the Jubilee weekend.
We had a wonderful afternoon tea with cupcakes and scones with cream and jam, all washed down with a glass of Bucks fizz or wine.
Singer Keeley came in to sing for us in the afternoon and delighted our residents with her lovely voice – with many having a dance to their favourite songs.
We decorated our Home with a stunning balloon arch and balloon stands, eye-catching in red, white and blue and our staff dressed up for the theme. Throughout the day we talked about our residents’ memories of D-Day celebrations.
A wonderful day of celebration and reminiscence.
