On Friday 22 July we held our first summer BBQ at Woodstock Residential Care Home, with a colourful funfair theme and different stalls where everyone could win prizes.
We made our own carnival stalls including a Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley and Balloon Darts.
Everyone enjoyed having a go at each stall and had the chance to win cuddly toys. We had our own sweets stall too, with lots of funfair themed treats such as candy floss and popcorn. We even had a ‘grab machine’ with sweets in for our residents to play.
Family and friends were invited to enjoy the day with us, with a variety of BBQ food on offer – the burgers, sausages and chicken were so delicious!
Our spectacular carnival cake made by our Cook made a wonderful centrepiece, with all its funfair themed decorations.
Everyone enjoyed live entertainment with singer Rob T and had fun dancing and singing along to the music. It is always lovely to invite families along to be a part of a fun event.
A special thank you to Woodstock’s maintenance men for helping build the stalls and for everyone involved who made the day so special.
