Our residents, relatives and team members at Woodstock Residential Care Home all took part in our golf-themed ‘Par-Tee’ on Wednesday 8 November to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.
Our Activities Team created some beautiful hampers and organised a raffle ready to be drawn at the event. Our team members and loved ones got in true golfing spirit by dressing up ready for a round of golf.
We had 9 holes of golf for everyone to work through, which included:
- Test your skills and see if you could achieve a hole-in-one to win some chocolate
- Guess the name of the teddy
- Test your luck on the football scratch card
- Handmade cards for sale, which had been created by a resident
- Testing your target skills with our tea bag target game
- Our raffle
- Guess the weight of the cake that had brilliantly been created by our Cook Lynn
- Treat yourself to a golf-themed cupcake
- The last hole! Time to relax with a nice tea or coffee.
Our colleague Amy was awarded ‘best dressed’ and won herself a lovely mug with ‘Time for Tee’ written on it.
We are so grateful to everyone who made a donation. We managed to raise a massive £322.89 and have also been in touch with Barclays who are going to kindly match our donation, making our grand total £645.78!
