Our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home took part in an arts and crafts session recently to create a wall display in celebration of World Alzheimer’s Day (Wednesday 21 September).
Using paper plates, we designed our own flowers and hand prints to incorporate into our display to make it stand out.
The piece highlights that whilst Alzheimer’s can impact on an individual’s ability to communicate or remember – we must never forget their rich and colourful back story, filled with a history of life events, family and friendships.
Everyone got very creative with different colours and patterns and we have displayed our artwork in our lounge for everyone to enjoy. What an eye-catching piece it is too!
