Here at Woodstock Residential Care Home we celebrated two birthdays last week. Our resident Irene turned 90 and Peter who has stayed with us for respite care came in for the day to celebrate his 93rd birthday with everyone.
We welcomed singer Rob T in to perform some music for us to dance to, including some classics – The Proclaimers and Brotherhood of Man! We all enjoyed clapping along to the music, singing and getting up and dancing with our friends.
Our party decorations included silver balloons, bunting and banners, and Irene also had big 90 balloons. We sang happy birthday and brought out a beautiful cake for Irene, made by our wonderful Cook Lynn, plus a delicious cake for Peter too, and watched as they blew out their candles.
We all had a great time celebrating together and we were so pleased Peter came in to spend his birthday with us. Many happy returns to them both!
