On Sunday 16 July our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home celebrated World Ice Cream day with some tasty ice cream sundaes.
These delicious ice cream creations were based on our colouring designs from an art session we’d had – to create our perfect sundae!
We enjoyed chatting and discussing what flavours are our favourite and what toppings would make our ice creams even more scrumptious. Our ladies and gents had some colourful designs and talking about the ice creams made our mouths water!
We all loved seeing the ice cream trolley turn around the corner and especially loved hearing the iconic sound of the ice cream trolley before seeing it; it reminded us all of our childhood when you can hear the ice cream van pulling up down the road.
There were lots of yummy flavours to try – mint choc chip, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry ripple, toffee and chocolate. Not forgetting we had chocolate and strawberry sauce to add and sprinkles too!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tasting day – a lovely treat to share with everyone.
