On Tuesday 6 February our ladies and gents at Woodstock Residential Care Home received a wonderful visit from a group of lovely year 4 pupils from Tunstall School.
The children performed a variety of songs for us including tunes by The Beatles, Abba’s ‘Thank you for the Music‘ and ‘She’ll be coming round the Mountain‘. The group had been working hard at school to learn a Bruno Mars song on their ukuleles, which really impressed our residents.
The pupils had also been learning Makaton, which is a form of sign language to enable help with communication. They were able to demonstrate a couple of songs for us using this and some of our residents attempted to copy some of the gestures.
We were all so impressed with their performance and made sure to give them a big round of applause.
